San Biagio Festivities
In Orbetello, it is celebrated with the “Sagra dell’anguilla sfumata e scavecciata” (smoked and marinated eel festival), boat races in the lagoon, and markets in the town center.
Pirates’s night
In Porto Ercole, a reenactment of a pirate attack on the village, featuring costume parades, games, treasure hunts, and a fireworks display over the sea.
JUNE
Celebrations of Saint Erasmo
On June 2nd, Porto Ercole celebrates its patron saint, Saint Erasmus. The festival begins in the preceding days with shows, concerts, a sea procession, rowing regattas, and concludes with a fireworks display over the sea.
AUGUST
Palio Marinaro dell’Argentario
On August 15th in Porto Santo Stefano, it’s Palio day. Since 1937, the four districts of Croce, Fortezza, Pilarella, and Valle compete in this rowing challenge along a 4000-meter course. The festivities begin in the preceding days. Upon arrival, the rowers from the winning district receive the embrace of many district residents who dive into the sea to celebrate the victory.

Gustatus – The Sense of Taste
A wine and food fair held in Orbetello at the end of October or beginning of November, showcasing the gastronomy of Maremma and Tuscany.
DECEMBER
Living Nativity
During the Christmas holidays in Porto Ercole, in the picturesque setting of the old village, a living Nativity scene is organized with the participation of around 200 costumed actors.
